6. Pro-life vs. Pro-choice

When looking at America, it's all about what you want, when you want it. But, does this actually apply to the millions of unborn children put to death every single year? The answer is no, they don't get a choice in whether they live or not, they are cast aside as if they don't matter.

One reason the pro-life is the way to go is because the child should not be viewed as a burden. Yes, either something unfortunate such as rape might have happened to you, or you made a bad decision, but does that mean that the child should suffer in your place. Many women who are raped and abort say that it's because they don't want to live with a constant reminder that they were raped. The problem with this is that the child should be viewed as a gift instead of a reminder, you have the chance to raise them up to be a better person that could one day change the world. There is another choice as well, adoption. Even if you don't want to raise the child yourself, there are still opportunities for them to live. Put them up for adoption, don;t just take their chance away. They will still be loved and  raised up, even if it's not by you. It's not fair to take some one else's life because of your regrets.

From Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life:

The truth is that we have human rights simply because we are human—not because of what we look like,     or what we can do, or what others think or feel about us, but rather because of what (the kind of being)         we are. That's why every human being has equal basic rights.

And if every human matters, then unborn children matter.

Life should not be determined by what your past decisions were, it should be determined by the fact that even though these children are unborn, they are still worth something. They my not look or act like a full-fledged human being, but they still have a heartbeat and bodily function. They deserve life no matter what, its a basic human right.
